i didn't intend it to be my day, it was supposed to be a cover up for a very secret mission for a hens' night =D
but anyway, people didn't forget... so i received lots of wishes and kisses, some gifts (although i specifically told some close friends i don't want any, they should donate the money to this cathedral in rural area ... cieeee... ;P) and of course, a very yummy cake (that in the end turned out to be coming out from my own pocket!#$@!**! long story....)
so... the mission went quite well as well... although, since the bride sit oh-so-close to me, she kinda smelled it....
in between organising it, and juggling it with work as well, it kinda got to me...
but i must say, despite the-supposedly-sweetest punch line of the game was cancelled (the music was too loud, people got too drunk already), it was a big success.
she enjoyed going through the naughty (though not-so-raunchy because of the lack of privacy of the VIP area in Bedroom) games, and got really drunk that she didn't remember crying her heart's burden out madly and loudly. about 50 people chipped in and turned up at the bash. and although i hate to admit it, the almost-free-flow of alcohol, especially from this one guy from my past, was one of the key elements.
at this moment of the year is when people usually do some reflection about their life so far.
so i did that as well.
but, rather than come up with something touching about my-so-called life, it actually got me thinking about the concept of time.
can't help but admiring the higher being up there, who invented it.
it is one of those things in the universe that is as exact as it can be.
you can't alter it, can't manipulate it, no matter how hard human has tried so far.
and since there's no compromise on its side, human are forced to work around it, we're the one who have to adjust to it.
what a genius, eh...
